Introduction
Putney Public School P&C has two major functions underpinning its relationship with the school:
1) to promote the recreation and welfare of all students through supporting the activities of the school and,
2) to assist in the provision of facilities and equipment through fundraising.
The P&C is made up of parents and friends of the school who have an interest in advancing educational and social issues on behalf of the students. The P&C Association meet at 7:30pm in the school library on the fourth Monday of each month during term.
A key feature of these monthly meetings is the opportunity for P&C Members to enhance their understanding on a range of topics through presentations and information sessions about key learning areas, school policies and procedures presented by the Principal and teachers.
The P&C is also dedicated to fund raising activities to supplement the school’s capacity to provide additional facilities for the students. Funds raised by the P&C are directed to a number of areas, some being educational, some being fun activities and some being for the comfort and wellbeing of the students.
Funds raised from our events are donated to the school to assist in the following areas: Enrichment & Learning Support Programs; Technology; Student Welfare; Staff Support & Staff Development Days; Playground Improvements and Canteen Management.
